Arôme Restaurant Branding & Menu
The Brief
Arôme is branding and a trifold menu for a fine dining steakhouse. I wanted the menu itself to communicate the restaurant's tier before a guest even reads a dish name.
I chose a warm, muted palette with fine line illustrations of grapes and wine, paired with a tall condensed logotype for the Arôme mark, and organized the menu into clear appetizer, main, and wine sections that read easily even at a dimly lit table. From there the identity carried across business cards and the sandwich board sign out front, so the brand feels consistent from the sidewalk to the table.
The Outcome
The final piece feels closer to a printed keepsake than a disposable menu, which is exactly the tone I wanted for a restaurant positioning itself as a special occasion destination.
The Process
This is the actual Illustrator file where the Arôme mark was built. I started with the full wordmark, then pulled the "A" out on its own artboard as a standalone monogram. That's the mark that shows on the cover when the trifold menu is folded closed, so a guest sees a clean single letter before they even open it.
The small five-point star from the logo became the seed for a repeating pattern, built out on its own artboard and later used as a supporting texture across the brand's print pieces.
